Our History
Pearce Ross was founded in 1992 and incorporated in 1995.
Our first major project was with The Guinness Trust, helping them implement and roll out new Housing Management and Finance systems, including Context for housing management and SunSystems/SunAccounts for finance.
Having already developed significant expertise in SunSystems, we were able to accelerate the implementation and improve the quality of the financial systems deployment. We also provided valuable insight into the integration between the housing management and finance systems, developing templates and schemas for financial transaction interfaces covering areas such as rents, contractor payments, service charges and development.
We worked closely with the consultants and programmers at Context Computers Limited, and this relationship subsequently led to Pearce Ross becoming an associate of both Context Computers and Systems Union, the developers of SunSystems/SunAccounts.
Over the following 10–15 years, we worked with around 40 housing associations, helping organisations maximise the potential of SunSystems for financial transaction processing, management information and reporting. We developed particular expertise in the use of Vision/Q&A, the preferred reporting tools for SunSystems at the time.
This extensive experience gave us a deep understanding of the financial recording, reporting and integration requirements of the social housing sector. It also established Pearce Ross as a highly experienced UK specialist in the integration and development of housing management and financial systems.
To provide an end-to-end finance and accounting solution, in 2005 we started working with Professional Advantage, who provide a suite of complementary financial software solutions. We became a Professional Advantage partner in 2010 and continue to work closely with them as their product range develops.
